Review: Tombow Pfit Clip Mini Ballpoint Pen

Tombow PfitThe Tombow Pfit Clip Mini ballpoint pen has two things going for it:  its size, and the clip that runs nearly the length of the barrel.  At just 3.5 inches long, this pen is made for portability.  The sleek design is just asking you to throw it in your pocket or purse and hit the door.  The clip makes this pen even more versatile, making it perfect for a clipboard, sign-up sheet, or attaching to your lanyard at work.

As great as those features are, the performance doesn't get it done for me.  3.5 inches is about .5 inches too small for me to write with comfortably.  The pen digs into my hand when writing because of the length, and an additional half inch would make it rest nicely on my hand.  The ballpoint ink cartridge is completely average at best.  Take the most standard ballpoint pen that you find on the street or under your desk and that's about how this Tombow Pfit Clip Mini writes.  It gets the job done, but it is hardly an eye opening writing experience.  I'll be sticking with my Pilot Pockel or Pilot Hi-Tec-C Putimo for now.
