Review: Berol Dart II

Aside from my everyday use or all kinds of gel ink pens, I have a bit of a thing for a good felt tip or plastic tip pen.  This Berol Dart II, sent to me to try out by my friend Kata, fits the bill nicely.  The overall design reminds me a lot of the Paper Mate Flair, with the size of the Berol being just a bit larger, especially with the cap posted.  It lays down a very clean line, with the only real issue being that the black is not as deep as I like.  Aside from that, this pen is great.  I find myself reaching for it several times a day, which is pretty high praise.

One note, which I mentioned in my written review, is that I have had trouble finding information about this pen online.  Anyone have better luck?

Template Changes

When setting up the original template for this blog, I chose the design before I imported the content.  After moving all of the posts over, a few things were bothering me with how it came out, including the font, sidebars, and overall clutter of the look.  Over the next week or so, I will be trying out some new templates, so please bear with me.

If you happen to visit while I have a new design up, please let me know what you think.  Right now, this is Sorbet Aqua.  I like the font much better, and the two columns to the right instead of one on each side.  What do you think?

Welcome to the new Pen Addict!  I figured I would get things kicked off on the right foot with another great giveaway, so here are the details:

This giveaway is for the Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen - 0.4 mm - Basic Colors - 5 Pen Gift Set.  I purchased them from JetPens with some of the recent ad revenue generated by this blog.  These are fantastic pens that I use everyday, and are a great entry into the micro-tip Japanese pen market.  Caution - they may even turn you into an addict!

The rules once again are pretty simple, but I am asking for a favor or two this time:

1.  If you haven't already done so, please update your bookmarks and feed for this site.  If you are a blogger yourself and you link to The Pen Addict, please update your blogroll.  If you are feeling really frisky, you could make new blog post notifying your readers that The Pen Addict has moved.  That would be really awesome, but it is most definitely not required to enter this contest.  I'm just trying to make a big push right out of the gate to get everyone to update their links.
