I've become a bit of a pencil junkie over the past few years, and the Tombow Mono 100 is mostly to blame. Blackwings get a lot of press, but I'd argue that the Mono 100 is as good as, if not better, than Blackwing - at least in the premium pencil category.

Contrary to the the amount of words spilled for my love of the Blackwing 602, the Tombow Mono 100 was the first pencil that showed me how great pencils can be. The graphite core is impressively smooth and dark while holding a point for longer than I thought possible. On top of that, they are beautiful to hold and look at.
