When Ink+Volt reached out to me about their collaboration with Tokyo-based Kunisawa to create a new lineup of notebooks, I was intrigued. I’m a fan of both brands, and wondered what they could create together. Wonder no more, as The Executive Notebook is now available, and I have two of them to give away.
I have a third notebook I’ll be using for a future review, but right now I can tell you that I am impressed. These are large notebooks, checking in at 7.125” x 9.25” (standard A5 size is 5.83” x 8.27”, for reference,) and 192 pages thick. The build quality is top notch, as I would expect, and the paper is excellent, handling my inkiest fountain pen nibs with no bleed or feathering, and allowing for a good amount of sheen and shading.
