Pen Dash San Francisco

We had an idea to do something different for the Pen Addict Meetup in San Francisco. What if we brought people together not just to hang out, but to hang out and learn something new at the same time? Enter the Pen Dash.

We discussed the idea on last week's podcast, but had no idea how it would play out once it was go time. It wasn’t without a few hiccups, but overall, I felt it was great, and the feedback was awesome.

With nearly 100 attendees - and that may be a little short - we had to enlist several extra table hosts on the fly, and I wanted to make sure all of those hosts got the recognition they deserved. I owe a huge thanks to:

Matt Armstrong

Jonathon Brooks

Steve Curnow

Paul Erano

Joey Feldman

Jason Forbes

Dan Hoizner

Teri Morris

Shawn Newton

Larry Ragland

Ana Reinert

Leigh Reyes

Jim Rouse

Ian Schon

Lisa Vanness

Andy Welfle

My good friend Franz Dimson captured some of the event on video and uploaded it to YouTube for everyone to see.

Thanks again to everyone who made this possible, including the amazing San Francisco Pen Show promoters and SF Pen Posse that make this one of the best events of the year.

Thank You San Francisco!

Another great show is in the books, and I'm sad it is my last one of the year. At least I went out with a bang! I'll have more pen show talk on this week's podcast, with special guest Joey Feldman. Look for it on Wednesday.

Back From D.C., And Better Than Ever

Ok maybe not exactly better - I’m pretty tired and my inbox is a mountain to climb - but after a rocky start, the show turned out great both personally and professionally. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi!

Things will get back to normal around here tomorrow, including a new review and a podcast at 10am Eastern with our full show recap.
