Review: Uni-Ball Signo DX 0.28mm Violet

Uni-Ball SignoI have both the 0.38 and 0.28 Uni-Ball Signo DX Violet ink gel pen, but I was surprised how different the color was between the two pens when I got the 0.28 in my hands.  I was equally surprised with how much I liked it.  The 0.38 Violet is your standard purple ink - a nice rich color and not too bright.  The 0.28mm Violet has almost a transparent quality to it, similar in the difference to the way the clip looks on each pen - the 0.38 has a solid purple clip, and the clip on the 0.28 is transparent.  The shade of ink doesn't bother me one bit, and it fact it is quite fun to write with because it is different than any other shade of purple I own.

If you think I obsess over pens, you will understand me when I say I used to be the same way over music CDs.  Back in the late 80s when CDs were just starting to populate my favorite record stores, I began the process of converting over my cassettes to this cool new media.  This conversion became an obsession as the years went on, and for some of my favorite artists, that meant owning every single disc that had been pressed - regular releases, singles, concerts, etc. - and Billy Bragg was one of the artists that got the full treatment.  Along with The Smiths, Bragg molded my musical tastes and is primarily responsible for the music I listen to today.  And that still contains a healthy dose of Billy Bragg.
