Every September, the Relay FM community of podcasters and listeners join together to raise funds for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This is an amazing organization that does important work and means a lot to so many families from all around the world.
In the past, I have donated directly to the cause, as have countless Pen Addict readers and listeners. Last year, Pen Addicts directly helped raise over $40,000 for the kids. What an amazing number! This year, as you might expect, I want to raise more. How will we do that? By having even more awesome goods that will be raffled away.
Here is the list, for starters. I’m hoping once we get underway, this list will expand even further.
— Two custom made Tesori Fountain Pens, raffled separately.
Pen One is a Venezia Oversized model with an Orange OMAS Acrylate barrel, and a clear Bottle Glass cap.
Pen Two is a Venezia Oversized model with an Orange solid acrylic barrel, with a Jonathon Brooks Warm Primary Manipulation grip section.
Each pen features a Venetian Murini Glass Finial and Bottom (Milifiori) accents, and ships in a handmade kimono sleeve.
This three-level box contains two burgundy fabric-lined drawers, designed for four pens each, plus an open tray on the top for additional accessories.
This collaboration contains it all! The Enigma Blanks Striped Jellyfish blank was turned into an Eastman Model Fountain Pen by Shawn Newton, and fitted with a Reverse Architect nib by Gena Salorino at Custom Nib Studio. This collection also includes a bottle of the Enigma Blanks exclusive Vinta Inks Purple Sea Star, and the Freiheit Ocean Blue notebook. Whew! Raffled as a set.

The PenQueue is made of Padauk wood with 3D printed TPU liners in each of the holes. Manny can hold a single pen or ink sample vial, and is 3D-printed in gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Raffled as a set.
I picked up this pen at the recent 2022 Orlando Pen Show. Fitted with a #6 Fine Bock nib, the Bon Air is a pocket-sized fountain pen that posts to a full-length writer.

The last one of its kind, Inkdependence Mike provided this custom pattern 4-pen sleeve made in collaboration with Rickshaw Bagworks.

Released earlier in 2022, this Bungubox exclusive was quickly snapped up by fans of the brands involved. I have one pen for the raffle with a Medium steel nib. Ink not included.
So, how can you help out the kids at St. Jude, and have a chance at winning some great prizes? Here you go:
- For every $10 you donate via the Relay FM for St. Jude 2022 page, you will receive one entry into the raffle. You are not limited to how much you donate, or how many entries you have. For example, $20 donated = 2 entries. $100 donated = 10 entries. We are trying to raise as much money as possible for the kids, so go wild! Donations made through Relay FM affiliated Community Campaigns are also eligible.
- After you donate, forward a copy of your donation receipt, or a screenshot including the amount and date of donation to stjude@penaddict.com with 2022 Raffle in the Subject line. Only donations timestamped on or after September 6th at Noon Eastern, and before 11:59 p.m. on September 26th, are eligible.
- All entries will be added to a spreadsheet after September 26th, and Random.org will be used to select the winners.
- All winners will be contacted directly via email, if selected.
Helping to raise funds for St. Jude is one of the highlights of my year. Their work is important and impactful, and I appreciate your support of this great cause.
