Diamine Inkvent Calendar Day 2

Happy day two of Advent! We’re opening the second door of the Diamine Inkvent Calendar to reveal the next bespoke color: Candy Cane.

Candy Cane is a standard ink color (no shimmer or sheen) that very much mimics the pink/red color of the stripes in candy canes.

The close-up photos below demonstrate that this color has little shading and no sheen.

On Rhodia paper, the ink definitely leans towards pink and is fairly light in finer nibs.

Candy Cane is a cheery red reminiscent of Santa’s rosy cheeks, but it’s fairly light. You might want to use it as an accent color or, for writing, in broader nibs. It will also work well as a wash.

(Cult Pens provided the Diamine Inkvent Calendar to Pen Addict free of charge for review purposes.)
